29 luglio 2026, sono trascorsi 13 anni dal giorno del rapimento di Paolo, le letture che sono state scelte per la celebrazione a Roma e a Mar Musa furono scelte da Paolo per la messa dei suoi voti nella Compagnia di Gesù, è bello riprenderle oggi, come memoria del suo cammino e della sua testimonianza

Genesi 18, 1-10
Promessa ad Abramo e distruzione di Sòdoma
18 1 Poi il Signore apparve a lui alle Querce di Mamre, mentre egli sedeva all’ingresso della tenda nell’ora più calda del giorno. 2Egli alzò gli occhi e vide che tre uomini stavano in piedi presso di lui. Appena li vide, corse loro incontro dall’ingresso della tenda e si prostrò fino a terra, 3dicendo: “Mio signore, se ho trovato grazia ai tuoi occhi, non passare oltre senza fermarti dal tuo servo. 4Si vada a prendere un po’ d’acqua, lavatevi i piedi e accomodatevi sotto l’albero. 5Andrò a prendere un boccone di pane e ristoratevi; dopo potrete proseguire, perché è ben per questo che voi siete passati dal vostro servo”. Quelli dissero: “Fa’ pure come hai detto”.
6Allora Abramo andò in fretta nella tenda, da Sara, e disse: “Presto, tre sea di fior di farina, impastala e fanne focacce”. 7All’armento corse lui stesso, Abramo; prese un vitello tenero e buono e lo diede al servo, che si affrettò a prepararlo. 8Prese panna e latte fresco insieme con il vitello, che aveva preparato, e li porse loro. Così, mentre egli stava in piedi presso di loro sotto l’albero, quelli mangiarono.
9Poi gli dissero: “Dov’è Sara, tua moglie?”. Rispose: “È là nella tenda”. 10Riprese: “Tornerò da te fra un anno a questa data e allora Sara, tua moglie, avrà un figlio”. Intanto Sara stava ad ascoltare all’ingresso della tenda, dietro di lui.
Lettera ai Galati 3, 26-29
6 Tutti voi infatti siete figli di Dio per la fede in Cristo Gesù, 27 poiché quanti siete stati battezzati in Cristo, vi siete rivestiti di Cristo. 28 Non c’è più giudeo né greco; non c’è più schiavo né libero; non c’è più uomo né donna, poiché tutti voi siete uno in Cristo Gesù. 29 E se appartenete a Cristo, allora siete discendenza di Abramo, eredi secondo la promessa

Giovanni 8, 51-59
51 In verità, in verità vi dico: se uno osserva la mia parola, non vedrà mai la morte». 52 Gli dissero i Giudei: «Ora sappiamo che hai un demonio. Abramo è morto, come anche i profeti, e tu dici: “Chi osserva la mia parola non conoscerà mai la morte”. 53 Sei tu più grande del nostro padre Abramo, che è morto? Anche i profeti sono morti; chi pretendi di essere?». 54 Rispose Gesù: «Se io glorificassi me stesso, la mia gloria non sarebbe nulla; chi mi glorifica è il Padre mio, del quale voi dite: “È nostro Dio!”, 55 e non lo conoscete. Io invece lo conosco. E se dicessi che non lo conosco, sarei come voi, un mentitore; ma lo conosco e osservo la sua parola. 56 Abramo, vostro padre, esultò nella speranza di vedere il mio giorno; lo vide e se ne rallegrò». 57 Gli dissero allora i Giudei: «Non hai ancora cinquant’anni e hai visto Abramo?». 58 Rispose loro Gesù: «In verità, in verità vi dico: prima che Abramo fosse, Io Sono». 59 Allora raccolsero pietre per scagliarle contro di lui; ma Gesù si nascose e uscì dal tempio.

Genesis 18, 1-10
1 Then the LORD appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the tent door in the heat of the day. 2 He lifted up his eyes and looked, and there were three men standing near him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the ground. 3 He said, “My lord, if now I have found favor in your sight, please do not pass by your servant. 4 Let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree. 5 Please let me bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts; and afterward you may pass on; for this is the purpose for which you have come to your servant.” They said, “Do as you have said.” 6 Then Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, make three measures of fine flour; knead it and make cakes.” 7 Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender, good calf, and gave it to the servant, who hurried to prepare it. 8 He took curd and fresh milk, along with the calf he had prepared, and set it before them. So he stood by them under the tree while they ate.
9 Then they said to him, “Where is Sarah your wife?” He replied, “She is there in the tent.” 10 The LORD said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and then Sarah your wife will have a son.” Now Sarah was listening at the tent door, behind him.

Galatians 3:26-29
6 For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27 for as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to the promise.

John 8:51-59
51 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever keeps my word will never see death. 52 The Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and so did the prophets; and yet you say, ‘Whoever keeps my word will never see death.’

Genèse 18:1-10
La promesse faite à Abraham et la destruction de Sodome

18 1 L’Éternel lui apparut près des chênes de Mambré, alors qu’il était assis à l’entrée de sa tente, dans la chaleur du jour. 2 Il leva les yeux et vit trois hommes debout près de lui. À leur vue, il courut de l’entrée de sa tente à leur rencontre et se prosterna jusqu’à terre. 3 Il dit : « Mon seigneur, si j’ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, je t’en prie, ne passe pas devant ton serviteur. 4 Qu’on apporte un peu d’eau pour te laver les pieds, puis repose-toi sous cet arbre. 5 Je vais t’apporter un morceau de pain pour te restaurer ; ensuite, tu pourras poursuivre ton chemin, car c’est pour cela que tu es venu trouver ton serviteur.» Ils répondirent : « Fais comme tu l’as dit.»

6 Alors Abraham se hâta d’entrer dans la tente auprès de Sara et lui dit : « Vite, prends trois mesures de fleur de farine, pétris-la et fais des galettes.» 7Abraham courut au troupeau, prit un veau tendre et vigoureux, et le donna au serviteur, qui s’empressa de le préparer. 8Il prit du fromage blanc et du lait frais, ainsi que le veau qu’il avait préparé, et les servit devant eux. Pendant qu’il se tenait près d’eux sous l’arbre, ils mangèrent.

9Ils lui demandèrent alors : « Où est Sara, ta femme ? » Il répondit : « Elle est là, dans la tente. » 10Il dit : « Je reviendrai vers vous à cette même époque l’année prochaine, et Sara, ta femme, aura alors un fils. » Or, Sara écoutait à l’entrée de la tente, derrière lui.

Galates 3:26-29
6 Car vous êtes tous enfants de Dieu par la foi en Jésus-Christ, 27 car vous tous qui avez été baptisés en Christ, vous avez revêtu Christ. 28 Il n’y a plus ni Juif ni Grec, il n’y a plus ni esclave ni homme libre, il n’y a plus ni homme ni femme ; car vous êtes tous un en Jésus-Christ. 29 Et si vous êtes à Christ, vous êtes donc la descendance d’Abraham, héritiers selon la promesse.

Jean 8:51-59
51 En vérité, en vérité, je vous le dis, celui qui garde ma parole ne verra jamais la mort. 52 Les Juifs lui dirent : « Maintenant nous savons que tu as un démon. Abraham est mort, et les prophètes aussi ; et pourtant tu dis : « Celui qui garde ma parole ne verra jamais la mort. »

تكوين ١٨: ١-١٠
الوعد لإبراهيم وتدمير سدوم
١٨ ١ ثم ظهر الرب لإبراهيم عند بلوطات ممرا، بينما كان جالسًا عند باب الخيمة في حر النهار. ٢ فرفع عينيه فرأى ثلاثة رجال واقفين عنده. فلما رآهم، ركض من باب الخيمة للقائهم وسجد على الأرض. ٣ وقال: «يا سيدي، إن كنت قد وجدت نعمة في عينيك، فلا تتجاوز عبدك. ٤ ليؤتى بقليل من الماء، فاغسلوا أرجلكم، واستريحوا تحت الشجرة. ٥ سأحضر لكم لقمة خبز لتستريحوا، وبعد ذلك انصرفوا، فهذا هو سبب مجيئكم إلى عبدك». فقالوا: «افعل كما قلت».

٦ فأسرع إبراهيم إلى الخيمة إلى سارة وقال: «أسرعي، خذي ثلاثة مكاييل من الدقيق الناعم، واعجنيها واصنعي منها كعكًا». ٧ فركض إبراهيم بنفسه إلى القطيع وأخذ عجلاً طرياً جيداً وأعطاه للخادم الذي أسرع في تحضيره. ٨ فأخذ جبناً ولبناً طازجاً مع العجل الذي حضّره، ووضعه أمامهم. ثم وقف بجانبهم تحت الشجرة وهم يأكلون.

٩ فقالوا له: «أين سارة زوجتك؟» فأجاب: «إنها هناك في الخيمة». ١٠ فقال: «سأعود إليكم في مثل هذا الوقت من العام المقبل، وحينئذٍ ستلد سارة زوجتك ابناً». وكانت سارة تستمع من باب الخيمة خلفه.

غلاطية ٣: ٢٦-٢٩
٦ لأنكم جميعاً أبناء الله بالإيمان بالمسيح يسوع، ٢٧ إذ أن كل من اعتمد للمسيح قد لبس المسيح. ٢٨ ليس يهودي ولا يوناني، ليس عبد ولا حر، ليس ذكر ولا أنثى، لأنكم جميعاً واحد في المسيح يسوع. ٢٩ فإن كنتم للمسيح، فأنتم إذًا نسل إبراهيم، وورثة بحسب الوعد.

يوحنا ٨: ٥١-٥٩
٥١ الحق الحق أقول لكم: من يحفظ كلامي فلن يرى الموت أبدًا. ٥٢ فقال له اليهود: الآن علمنا أن بك شيطانًا. مات إبراهيم، ومات الأنبياء أيضًا، وأنت تقول: من يحفظ كلامي فلن يذوق الموت أبدًا. ٥٣ أأنت أعظم من أبينا إبراهيم الذي مات؟ ومات الأنبياء أيضًا. من تدّعي أنك؟ ٥٤ أجاب يسوع: إن كنت أمجد نفسي، فمجدي لا شيء. أبي هو الذي يمجدني، الذي تقولون عنه: هو إلهنا. ٥٥ وأنتم لا تعرفونه، أما أنا فأعرفه. وإن قلت إني لا أعرفه، أكون كاذبًا مثلكم. لكني أعرفه وأحفظ كلامه. ٥٦ أبوكم إبراهيم فرح برؤية يومي، فرآه وفرح. ٥٧ فقال له اليهود: «أنت لم تبلغ الخمسين من عمرك بعد، فهل رأيت إبراهيم؟» ٥٨ فأجابهم يسوع: «الحق الحق أقول لكم: قبل أن يكون إبراهيم أنا كائن». ٥٩ فتناولوا حجارة ليرجموه، لكن يسوع اختفى وخرج من الهيكل.
